You want floors? We got floors!

Things are progressing very smoothly with the house.  Fast enough to make us nervous about selling the current one on time.  We now have walls that are sheetrocked and taped, doors that are locked, and a cement floor in the garage.  AND we are having the wood floors put in this week!

Mike and his dad flew over the house and  got clearance to fly down lower and took pictures of the house from the sky!  So cool!  We could see Pinewood Lake and how it was a little frozen  in the middle, we could almost see Hidden Pond (it is hidden, after all!).

Front Door Colors

We have to pick a color for the front door. After some googling about feng shui, I found a great list of door colors on House Beautiful .  I really liked Evening Sky (BM 833).  I researched further and found the meaning of a blue door . Although our door doesn't face south, north or east, I really like the thought of a blue door, especially with our stream and the blue dining room. I think the door will tie it all in together.

Fixtures. Sounds fun. but not when you have to buy 30.

The fixtures are all going to be Seagull Lighting with the exceptions of the closets and the master bedroom. Dining Room Foyer/hallway Kitchen island mini-pendants Kitchen table chandelier

Bathroom ideas

Thanks for the opinions I got on the colors.  We're doing Stone House in the Kitchen, Alaskan Skies in the Family Room, and the Blue in the dining room.  I want to do something bold in the powder room, so I started looking (again) for some inspiration pics. I found some dark bathrooms (1st is from bossycolorblog it's BM Graphite) Keeping with a dark powder room, with a bow, it makes your day feel fancier.   I might just go a tad lighter with Revere Pewter, people rave about this color online and I think it'll give the warmth and clean lines I want, with a little less drama than the graphite.  I will definitely do the graphite in the basement bathroom once we build our movie theater, but I am going to go a little safer right now.
